9% Allocation and Housing Grants Awarded in Pennsylvania

Evergreen Partners, along with its co-sponsor The National Housing Trust and affiliate The Wishcamper Group, is pleased to announce that they have been awarded 9% Low Income Housing Tax Credits for the acquisition and rehabilitation of Skyview Apartments in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The property provides homes for 188 families, in 50 one-bedroom, 91 two-bedroom and 47 three-bedroom apartments. The transaction closed in March 2008 and construction, which is planned to includes over $9 million in renovations, is schedule to begin immediately.

"We are grateful for the support that this effort has received from the state, the Pennsylvania Housing and Finance Authority, the City of Scranton, Lackawanna County and the Weinberg Foundation, all of whom are making a substantial contribution to the sucess of this redevelopment, "said Brian Poulin, a principal with Evergreen Partners. Together with our local partners and our co-sponsor NHT, we believe we will be able to make a real difference in the life and vitality of the community of Skyview.

The work is being supported by grants and loans from the Weinbery Foundation, PennHOME, the City of Scranton, Lackawanna County, the State of Pennsylvania, and the PHFA.
